"I constantly look for more speed, performance and distance. I found all three in the Burner SuperFast 2.0."—Camilo Villegas
"The Burner SuperFast 2.0 feels great and looks fantastic. No other driver can compete with the speed, performance and the distance. It's such a good driver, it's ridiculous."—Jason Day
The two famous players give high regards for TaylorMade Burner SuperFast 2.0 TP Driver after they play it. The TP series feature about slightly open clubface alignment, toe-weighted to promote a neutral-fade bias, and custom shaft. Burner SuperFast 2.0 not only has the same TP features, but also has new technology. Engineered for the skilled player with toe-weight and 1° open face to create a neutral bias and equipped with a high-performance 65-gram Matrix Ozik HD 6 shaft; 308 grams.
Taylormade Burner Superfast 2.0 TP Driver has a slighter larger face and weighs 5 grams less than the original SuperFast, for improved distance on off-center hits. A sleek, sloped head from front to back (replaces "Dual crown") lowers the center of gravity to create high-launch/ low-spin shots. The two key TP elements are the slightly open clubface and shorter, heavier, lower-torque Matrix shaft. (“Shorter” and “heavier” are relative because a 65-gram tour shaft at 45.5 inches isn’t exactly Hoganesque.) Cheap golf club sets first-round play confirmed what should be expected since the head cover and plastic wrap didn’t exactly come off until the tee: A mix of ball flights, from pushes the first few holes to a combination of tight draws and boring—not the ennui kind—cuts. This was good stuff, and as golf is a game of feel and anecdotal, visual evidence carries weight, we both thought the driver a good match for me. Numbers are a part of golf, too.
